Concept LA Fashion Week: Alana Hale, Mike Vensel, Michelle Laine

I have been following Alana Hale's collections from the very beginning when she began selling her line at my good friend Angie's showroom La Maison De Fashion on Melrose.  She always has chic pieces that are great for mixing up a day wardrobe into night.  Always feminine and sophisticated in style you have to check out her latest Spring 2012collection! 

There were some interesting installations at the show as well including my friend Mike Vensel who has very simple designs but always classic.

I absolutely LOVED Michelle Laine's jewelry in her installation. Great pieces to bling up an ordinary outfit into something glamorous! It was very crowded and hard to get all the photos I wanted but check out more of her pieces on her website. Gorgeous!

Although I've always wanted try this! Photo shoot under water in a gorgeous flowing dress and an amazing set...ummm yes please!!  So much going on right now and to top it all off HORRIBLE allergies/coughing fits!! Worst way to start off LA Fashion Week but I'm going to make the best of it. Too many events and wonderful parties to attend I can not say no. Living in color

With all of the change in weather I've started coming down with a cold (chicken noodle soup here I come!) so when I found this naturally it made me think of home...it's something bright and colorful to fill your living space with! My grandmother literally spends all of her time knitting, sewing, and crocheting, which has led to my ownership of around 15 beautiful throws. I've been getting one every Christmas for as long as I can remember with green being the main color...I hate green but it's the thought that counts, right?! Anyways, these knit lamps have a warm homey feeling  which is why I LOVE them! They are also just super cute and will add some color to any living space.

Shine so pretty

It's a known fact that women LOVE everything shiny and what's not to love?! It's attractive and beautiful, it draws much wanted attention to us and let's be honest we look damn good in it! There is so much texture going around this years Fall lines and some of my faves are (guess what?!) shiny and sparkly! So much glitter and glam, luscious fabrics and furs, all being complimented with matching handbags, shoes, belts, hats...you name it!  Stand out and dazzle your wardrobe with some shimmery madness this Fall.

Snuggle with me

With all of this cold and rainy weather lately I think I have finally accepted that I should bring out my Fall wardrobe (Yay chunky knit sweaters!! :-), talk about cuddle weather! I don't know about you but I am always in an amazing mood when I'm snuggled up on the couch wearing my favorite loungy sweater and of course some hot chocolate...yummmmmy! My Fall wardrobe necessities: Large and in charge knit sweaters, a variety of scarfs, a gorgeous array of boots, and leggings.  What could go wrong with those options?! Layering is the best way to go, always. Just a few of my favorites straight from the runway!

Ummmm yes please!!! This Israeli shoe designer is such a fantastic find! Kobi Levi, who's more of an artist than a shoe designer if you ask me, is a freelance designer working in Tel-Aviv, Israel.  He makes the most unique designs! Current Obsession

Just came across Frankie Morello's latest collections while browsing through Milan Fashion Week and I'm pretty much in LOVE with all of his shoes and definitely obsessed with his collar cuff necklaces!! Check em out!

The cut outs and height are absolutely AH-MAZING! They even designed these sequined shoes you can wear on your head! A bit odd but I'm sure Gaga would be into these...

Fly like a superhero

Do you ever watch a film or read a book that makes you want to stop what you're doing and just go somewhere??  So I'm a dreamer...what else is new.  I've already accomplished the task of dropping everything to move to a city where no one knows my name, aka. Los Angeles but I find myself diving into these daydreams more frequent than not...In correlation to my daydreaming ability I've fallen for these beautiful capes. Maybe they can take you somewhere, or at least make you feel like they can :)
